While the @PSQCAheadoffice did impose a regulation to limit trans-fats in several food items including banaspati ghee earlier this year, many foods like chocolates, ice-creams & other dairy products also need to be regulated. #TransFatsFreePakistan #TRANSFORMPakistan

@IffatHasanRizvi @PYCAPk @ZarrarKhuhro Natural fat is better than artificial but quantity matters. If you are taking 1500 calories then only 450 Kcals should be coming from fat which means 4 -5 T.Spoon fat only which is not the case in Pakistani diet. So overall fat control is important for health.

@PYCAPk @ZarrarKhuhro Please discuss health benefits or risks related to the use of animal tallow (animal fat/chakki) in our cooking. Traditionally this source of natural fat is used in northern parts of Pakistan. Also some international famous fast food chains are also using tallow.

@SobiahQ @PYCAPk @ZarrarKhuhro Banaspati ghee is artificially manufactured & a source of trans fat.Replacing ghee with plant based oils is a good option than desi ghee, which is natural but also it rich in saturated .Desi ghee intake should not exceed 1-2 tsp/day
