Big news in the Riccio house! We are moving…to Florida! Life is too short for “what ifs” so we are going on an adventure. I am so grateful for my VB life. It’s all I have ever known, but it’s time for something new. We will be moving 3 miles from Disney and we are so excited! ♥️

Nearly 1 in 3 HS girls said they had considered suicide, a 60% rise in the past decade. Nearly 15% had been forced to have sex. About 6 in 10 girls were so persistently sad or hopeless they stopped regular activities.

Today I presented budget amendments to get Virginia school counselors to 1 for every 250 students (the national rec) and to prop up a tutoring corps that could get into our schools and help the students most in need in the aftermath of Covid.
These would ⬆️ academic achievement!
