Stablecoins, which were originally used primarily for crypto trading, are becoming increasingly popular for everyday financial transactions. According to a study by BVNK, Coinbase, and Artemis among 4,658 respondents from 15 countries, stablecoins are increasingly used for payments, salaries, and savings. More than half of survey participants (56%) owned stablecoins in the last 12 months and plan to restock them this year. About 27% of respondents use stablecoins to purchase goods and services, and 45% prefer to exchange them for local currency. More than half of respondents (52%) made purchases precisely because the seller accepted stablecoins. For freelancers, gig economy workers, and marketplace vendors, stablecoins account for 35% of their annual revenue. Nearly three-quarters of respondents said using the cryptocurrency improves their experience with international customers, and marketplace sellers noted sales growth and an expanding customer base. One key factor in the attractiveness of stablecoins is the savings on fees: respondents reported managing to save an average of 40% compared to traditional payment systems. @KGST
