In regards to the AI training section of my new Cyn video, I was fairly anxious about how it'd be received. I'm glad it saw unanimous approval. I'm gonna be blunt here. The haphazard use of AI that infects every little thing I see makes my blood boil. I work on robots/androids. It's a critical tool for how they work. That's it. I don't want it managing my files, coming up with responses to people based on how it thinks I talk, doing whatever the hell it does in text editors, and ESPECIALLY not as a "creative" work. When scrolling Twitter and YouTube, I do so because I want to see the works of the talent that I follow. Their unique styles and perspectives are what I am there for. I want to discover new creatives as well. I cannot look at a single screen these days that doesn't have AI crammed into it. My first instinct whenever I see any media now is to count the fucking fingers and look it over with a fine tooth comb. Not to appreciate it, not to feel anything, but to figure out if it's genuine. Even from artists I admire. Generative AI has made doubt my default instinct. I'm tired of installing browser extensions to suppress it. The use of my phone which lacks these protections makes for the most insufferable experience. No matter how many times on YouTube I choose "not interested" the next video ALWAYS has AI slop in recommended. Over the last few months, no matter how much I said no, people kept telling me to clone Cyn because it'd be more accurate. I hope that my latest video helped more people understand. VA's and artists exhaustively make their plights known near daily. These people are responsible for bringing to life the very works we cherish. Time and time again they tell us how it threatens their ability to keep creating. I ultimately hope that I can demonstrate through my work more respectful uses of these tools. In the time of writing this, I've had multiple notifications of creators I admire uploading essays saying the same thing. We're all so clearly tired of it. Aside from arguments of morality and industry, can you really say you WANT to see "art" from emotionless machines built on stolen work become the status quo? Are you comfortable knowing everything you say, do, or merely look at is scraped by them, eroding any possibility of privacy? Replacing the creative aspects of the creative process removes all value of the output. YOU didn't make anything. There's no real emotion or talent. Art isn't just a pretty picture. It's an accumulation of one's life; their perspectives, experiences, longings and woes. I don't want to know a world devoid of feeling. Lastly, should any VA's have input on my process and how I could do better, please consider contacting me. Again, my work is impossible in my lifetime without AI, and I want to do my best to ensure I use it respectfully. And to the nearly 2,000 of you who provided your own responses to train Cyn's conversational AI, thank you. This community has done so much to help make my dream come to life, and I will say it until my face turns blue: Thank you.

Lately alot has been really overwhelming for me, my health is constantly changing and i'm really tired. Trying to get a diagnosis or anything that can explain the symptoms i'm having is so hard especially when doctors brush me off. It's hard to work at the moment but i'm trying🥲

pretty creepy how Cyn's smile stretches the skin on her face, even pulling the torn parts around her eye with it. a 2D animation probably wouldn't have captured that realistic skin-mask effect (and honestly I don't even think about it when drawing her myself)
