Democracy is elections, not always asking the country on every point every time. That would cost too much and take too much time.

This is down to hunches really, we will never know for sure. It looks to me that it was done on purpose and by just a few.
My main point is that privilege in this day and age is not right nor democratic.

@KHCDwest1 @SkyNews They’ve played an absolute blinder - stopping an undemocratic bill in its tracks. And it was scrutiny. We need to get rid of the 650 MPs. That’s much more pressing.

@belfastDGM @SkyNews It wasn’t ‘scrutiny’. A few unelected lords deliberately tabled masses of amendments and used procedure to run down the clock on a bill passed by elected MPs.
That is obstruction by privilege, which has no place in modern times.
Get rid.

And no member of the public voted for it as it was in no parties manifesto so it was right that it was properly scrutinised

He says it was consensual sex and it maybe the same girl who is accusing him of rape??
As a 30yo man, he could have had his pick of ANY woman in her 20s or 30s. But he chose a 16yo school girl.
