We are pleased that our KS3 curriculum is now featuring in a book on Technology Education. We have worked hard as a department to create what we feel is a modern, enjoyable, knowledge filled curriculum. Great to see it in words. Available via Brill Publishing

Today Year 9 took part in talks with 10 STEM based companies throughout the day, learning about the variety and diversity of job roles on offer. Thank you to all of the companies which supported our first (hopefully annual) STEM Industry Day.

New recycling containers were placed in our staff rooms today to help gather more plastics to meet our goal of preventing 1 ton of waste going in to landfill

Well done to the Plastics Lab and Enterprise Club students who ran the first of two Christmas Decoration Sales at break time today. All decorations and marketing has been made by the very talented pupils 👏

Well done to Tomos Lang who won the Creative Prize at the @wjec_cbac Innovation Awards for his A Level Product Design Project. A creative solution to changing lenses in glasses 👏 da iawn Tom!

Well done to our Year 8 Teams competing at the Faraday Challenge today against @CaldicotSchool . Winning both first and second place for their amazing inventions 👏

Representing King Henry VIII 3-19 School at the Service of Remembrance in Abergavenny

We have one space still to fill for our STEM Industry day on January 9th 2025. We would love a Science Professional to talk to our Year 9 students about potential job roles. If you (or anyone you know) would be willing to take part then please get in touch

Today we were proud to place our remembrance statue in reception. The planter and soldier was made by students in Year 9 and our recycled HDPE poppies were made by a range of pupils from different year groups #rememberace

Our fantastic students are at the Abergavenny Greener Fair selling their amazing sustainable/recycled products. Pop by and pick up a bargain, all proceeds goes into investing in more recycling equipment
