Thanks to the generosity of our volunteers and a partnership with the @irvinglibrary, we collected 1,815 Christmas Cards for senior living residents in the area.

Christmas Cards for Seniors are coming in! Thanks to Girl Scout Troops 3473, 1810, and 6458, Nimitz, Singley and Irving High Schools, and Pasha Group. Today is the due date, so if you have cards, please bring them to the KIB office by 4:00, or any @irvinglibrary location.

Look who came by the KIB office to drop off Christmas cards today! It's Irving's own Teddie Story, with cards that she and her grandchildren made. We have also received cards from children at Northwest Recreation Center and Hackberry Creek Church.

Volunteers are asked to make or purchase Christmas cards , add a little note i, and bring them to the KIB office at 3000 Rock Island Road, or to any Irving Library location. So help bring some joy to our seniors and drop those cards off by December 8!

If you are looking for a Thanksgiving break activity, we have a suggestion: "Christmas Cards for Seniors!" This is our 5th year to do this, and once again we are partnering with the @irvinglibrary.

@Gartner_inc employees from around the country participated in our #AmericaRecycles Day event at Bird's Fort Trail Park on Nov. 18. The 12 volunteers gave 24 hours and collected 105 lbs of trash and 14 lbs of recyclables.

We have been amazed by the artistic creativity shown by volunteers with their homemade cards, but store-bought cards with a little note are also welcome.
Please bring cards to KIB, 3000 Rock Island Road, or any library location by Dec 8, and we will see that they get delivered!
