Today, on World Down Syndrome Day, we stand #TogetherAgainstLoneliness. Too many people with intellectual disabilities experience isolation. 39% report feeling lonely, compared to 14% of those without disabilities. Some studies even show they are up to 7 times more likely to face loneliness. This is why the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025 matters. By strengthening rights and improving access to education, employment, and public life, it moves us closer to a society where persons with disabilities are not isolated, but connected, valued and included. Let’s all play our part. Reach out. Listen. Create spaces where everyone belongs and no one is left behind. #VIP
