I saw a dog on the side of the road. As soon as he saw the car he got up and started barking... I stopped and saw those eyes.. I saw pain, despair but also hope... As if they were telling me take me from here... And that's how it happened!!! We are starting our new life! From a mom who feels lucky today 💝

I dated a woman for three years. She had a 2-year-old son, Leo, from a previous relationship. The dad was out of the picture. We broke up because she wanted to 'party' and I wanted to settle down. One night, she dropped Leo off at my house at 11 PM. She said, 'I can't do this anymore. You take him. You’re better at it.' And she drove off. I have zero biological relation to this kid. The courts told me I had no rights. But I fought. I got guardianship because she abandoned him. I’ve been a single dad to another man's kid for 10 years. I’ve taught him to shave, to drive, and to treat women with respect—ironically, the respect his mom never showed us. She surfaced recently because Leo is a star athlete and made the local paper. She wants front-row tickets to the game. Leo told the coach, 'If she shows up, don't let her in. My dad is the guy in the stands wearing my jersey.' Biology makes you a relative. Loyalty makes you a parent.

She waited longer than any other dog at the shelter And when her moment finally came She made sure to bring her plush toys with her Because they were the only comfort she ever had Send me some love ❤️

Today on my way home from work I found this kid in the middle of the road. I looked to see if he belonged to anyone, if he had other dogs with him... Nothing... He was alone and crying non-stop. We went to the vet, he didn't have a chip and so I decided let's be a family! We came home and I put him to bed...He's sleeping so deep, calm and happy. His first photo happy... And I want many more to follow. Thank you for coming into my life! Animals choose us.💝

Paws in for Niamh please 🥺🙏🐾 she fell seriously ill in the night and we rushed to the vets first thing. A nasty reaction to one of her post-op drugs the vet thinks. She's had 4 injections, and has a huge bag of meds to take. Back to the vets Monday 🙏💜💕
