Can’t know from tv 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just from watching in real time, it looked close enough to affect the shot. The telecast had the same reaction. If it had been far from the ball, could’ve waited until after the shot to rake. Generally I believe Tour officials are too quick to side with Tour pros wrt relief

Yes, understand the rule. Looked like the footprint was in the way of playing the next shot and could interrupt swing path. Tough to see on tv, as you’ve noted, but the telecast was equally baffled. Can’t fault you for asking. Personally believe the rules official should have done more to ensure the print wasn’t in your swing path. The footprint wasn’t far from the ball.

TV made the foot print look much closer than it actually was, and since the foot print was not in my way of playing the next shot we were able to Rake it, now if the foot print was in the way, therefore would not be able to Rake it.
