The old baseball adage is, “You see something new every time you come to the park.” Today that something new was Bill Murray. I knew Bill was a big baseball guy but never expected to run into him at the Dillons’ Sunflower Showdown. 🌻⚾️🌻 We talked college and minor league baseball in the parking lot after the game and he couldn’t have been nicer. He even wished me and the Jayhawks the best of luck down the stretch. Perhaps we’ll see some ‘Hawks and Wildcats on his Joliet Slammers roster one day. 🏟️ Congrats to both teams on an awesome weekend of very competitive ball — high level action fit for a tremendous rivalry and apparently, worthy of a Hollywood legend as well.

Since the NIL era: 2022: National Championship 2023: A 1 seed (Bill didn’t coach in March) 2024: Starter kicked off team, 2 1st-team Big12 guys miss games w injury, schollie reduction. Still a 3/4 seed Kstate couldn’t get good players before OR after NIL era. I’d sit this out
