And when I talk about irrelevance of Pakistan cricket, just try using the two semi finals of this World Cup as case studies?
Symptomatic treatment won’t address the core issues. Reinforcing failures & waiting for miracles to happen? Let’s have a life.
If Pakistan wants to compete internationally, time for introspection, assessment & diagnosis. We need to identify the inherent problems conscientiously before redressing them.
Let’s focus on what we lack instead of being intolerant & judgmental.

@hashmi_shahid If pakistan was playing any match even against India
If srilanka was playing any match other than against India
it would have happened in colombo
In all fairness, Sri Lanka, as co-hosts, deserved to host one semi-final… irrespective of who qualifies and who doesn’t…. SLC should have negotiated it. #ICCMensT20WorldCup
If there is an uninterrupted match at Khettarama this evening, I feel NZ a fully process driven team should be able to win.
England have their issues nonetheless once they’ll move to India for the knockouts, dynamics will change.
English batsmen having endured rigors of slow low turners in SL will feel feasting on truest pitches.
I still believe, to all intents & purpose India & New Zealand are likely to play in the semifinal & South Africa will be taking on England.

@DrNaumanNiaz Pehle aap apni predictions ka dekh le... Against India , wrong prediction ; against England wrong again ; again lanka - it would be wrong again. Get over your fake ego first
Regardless of what transpires in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, even if Pakistan by default reaches the knockouts, still it’s not going to provide solutions.
Whenever one speaks of Pakistan cricket’s growing irrelevance, its lack of modernity, limited game awareness, and absence of structured systems, such observations are often dismissed as exaggerated or superfluous.
Yet the issue is not only about victory or defeat; it is about the capacity to compete with credibility and consistency.
Ambition, if it is to be meaningful, must be underpinned by a performance-oriented and contextually relevant culture.
Most leading international teams exemplify modern cricketing standards: clearly defined roles, advanced skill sets, structured power-hitting frameworks, meticulous game-plan execution, merit-based selection, strategic match-ups, scientific integration, comprehensive fitness regimes, rehabilitation systems, and multi-dimensional development models.
Even their captains are tactically astute, supported by robust and specialised backroom staff.
Pakistan cricket, by contrast, requires an honest appraisal of its structures, a willingness to engage in genuine introspection, and a deliberate focus on long-term player and system development on merit & honesty.
Sustainable progress cannot be achieved through expedient measures or short-term remedies.
The priorities must be recalibrated with clarity and purpose. Relevance must first be restored; only then can meaningful competition follow.

Is the outcome of ICC T20 World Cup going to replicate the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 results. Are we going to get two matches played between India & Pakistan in the tournament? Just a contemplation.
@DrNaumanNiaz Unfortunately you yourself are coated of fake patriotism and self denial. You yourself elevated yourself that you are ruling the world and India would go down on its knees . Neither your country and your cricket team atleast in next 100 years can close to India. Keep dreaming
For the first time, I decided to back this Pakistan team, allowing nationalism to override professional, evidence-based analysis. I am embarrassed.
I did not appreciate the extent of the eccentricity and adamancy: the excessive reliance on so-called bits-and-pieces all-rounders; compelling established top-order batsmen to bat in the middle order; handpicking players on reputation rather than contemporary form; and the absence of clearly defined roles for the batsmen. The captaincy appeared pedestrian.
If the intention was to adopt an unconventional strategy by bowling the first over differently, why were six spinners selected in the playing XI?
Having picked an early wicket, why didn’t Agha complete his quota, the majority of the four overs within the powerplay?
Why was Shaheen selected on reputation rather than opting for another fast bowler? Why was Abrar introduced when you could have bowled yourself?
Why was Shadab assigned the ninth over? Why was Nawaz employed ahead of Usman Tariq? Why was Usman not utilised within the first ten overs?
Batting - The shot selection was pedestrian. There was no rotation of strike. In the absence of a middle-order batsman with a solid defensive technique, rotation becomes essential; one cannot just attempt expansive strokes without the requisite defensive foundation.
There is a clear distinction between structured power-hitting and outright slogging.
What, precisely, was Pakistan’s plan? What were the defined roles of the batsmen? On a slow surface with 80-metre boundaries, where the ball was not coming onto the bat, how could one persist with slogging against quality bowlers?
Did anyone in the management observe that Abrar was releasing the ball more quickly than required and consistently erring by pitching it too full?
Selecting six spinners, with half of them delivering pedestrian lengths and conceding runs, was dispiriting indeed.

@RCB_HIvv3 Harbhajan and Sehwag are most disrespectful people Indian team ever had. VK , MSD and even Gambhir dont belong to that group. Egoistic fools
Harbhajan and Sehwag kept calling Chahal "lakdi" "dancing pole" "matchstick" for a full min, laughing the whole time.
Poor guy couldn’t say a word and even Jatin Sapru looked uncomfortable with these two bullies 🙂
Thank you very much, Shahid Bhai, for taking out your valuable time to visit Pakistan U-19 camp Your presence has been a tremendous source of motivation for the Boys and the guidance, experiences, and encouragement you shared with them will surely have a lasting impact on their future. We are sincerely grateful for your support, kindness, and willingness to inspire the next generation.
