i cant stop thinking about this we already know reinforcement learning can train behaviors into animals. the classic bell + food experiment. or the sound of the food bag signaling dinner time to our pets. animals learn to respond to stimuli. now imagine this: train an irl animal to respond to a very specific stimulus. then scan its brain and create a digital copy of its mind. recreate that stimulus in the simulation. does it respond? that's how you test whether memories survive an upload. not true memories - but close enough to matter. the @eonsys fruit fly is the perfect starting point. what we've seen so far is its base state. pure instinct. no learned behavior tested yet. this is the next experiment. and once uploaded minds can form new neural connections, learn new things inside the simulation - we've never been in that territory before. what an insane time to be alive.
