A screenshot is going around claiming a Papergames recruitment exam "proves" Infold planned the Valko situation a year in advance. I found the original post before saying anything, and here's the context, because it doesn't say that. First: it's not a leaked Infold document. It's a job-interview prep post, the kind people share to practice for gaming industry applications. The question in it is a hypothetical case study: "suppose an otome game launches a US-designed LI and local players find it offensive, how should the developer handle it?" That's a standard crisis-PR interview question. Otome games face US-vs-local-market tension all the time, that's WHY it works as an exam question. A hypothetical scenario in a hiring test is not a company predicting its own future. And the detailed "answers" in the screenshots? Written with AI by whoever made the post (XHS), not by Infold. I'm not linking the source, it's an unrelated account that got pulled into this and doesn't deserve a pile-on. I'm saying this because THIS is what actually hurts us. Every day a new rumor, and each one that turns out false makes people trust the real work less, the boycott, the charity, the verified facts. To everyone worried that Infold will suddenly go bankrupt because of a few weeks of lower revenue: As a former software developer, that's generally not how companies of this size operate. Large studios don't run on a "one bad month = game over" model. They budget over quarters and fiscal years, have cash reserves, ongoing projects, and evaluate performance across many KPIs...not just daily revenue. If revenue stays weak for a prolonged period, management eventually has to explain the trend and adjust strategy. That's where sustained player trust, retention, reputation, ratings, and long-term spending become important. So don't feel pressured into spending because you're afraid the company will disappear overnight. A short-term boycott isn't what determines whether a company survives. The long-term trajectory is what matters. #ValkoIsLoved

I watched this yesterday and honestly felt embarrassed for the reactions but I watched it to check how does a passerby will react to our situation. It's a good watch just remember that Connor is not a player. I really liked how he did the timeline for Valko's Introduction Release. The difference in the global reaction and Cn reaction. I realized thoughtfully that in our side, it's confusing why they had to post the 3 trailers like out of usual but if you see the cn reaction, you would understand why... It was that bad... They needed to pull out all available info about him and every trailer got a buffer time to check the reactions. They ultimately chose to cancel the launch after seeing the reaction on the CN side. Yes. The global side was accepting, but if the percentage is like for global there is 50/100 positive reactions and for cn there is 10/100 positive reactions, then even when combined, you get 60/200 positive reactions. Not defending Infold but that is really an insanely bad reception. If we want to get him back, we need to give infold the confidence that the market will accept him. At least 85% of the market. Especially as there are obviously other outside factors coming into play and taking advantage of their situation. My only regret as a Valko girlie was not being vocal about my likings... One of the saddest parts about this for me is how Valko was so clearly shown as honest and affectionate, more blatantly than any of the other LI’s promos, yet all of that was twisted to such a disgusting degree.
