@RaenaCreates @faerywing Hey, i have an xTools D1 Pro 5w. It comes with the XCS software for building the pattern to engrave or cut, but also u can get LightBurn for $60. The 5 watt is the cheapest and weakest. Fine for engraving though. Make sure you have scrap material and a test pattern first.

@LaraRouseWrites scene and sequel. actiony stuff, then deal with the emotional and rational response to set up the next actiony stuff. This gives reader a relief and work through what the hero is deciding next divide the story into 8ths. that's the rising action and stakes to each 8th.

@QTarantino_ I dunno. I assume Hollywood thinks it is a lower risk with a built-in fan-base. Since Hollywood is really a business, it's not actually about creativity and artistic expression. That's just something the people doing the actual work are trying to do.

@Frank_Butterfly Glad you are doing this. I don't know a lot about this, but find out what pronoun they prefer, and try to use it. Even here. It's a habit to form. We can mean well, but still mess up sometimes. I have as well.

Nearly everytime one group of people own or imprison another, you're gonna find mistreatment and abuse. Anybody claiming "slavery wasn't that bad" is wrong. To hold another against their will is to think you are better, and that means you think they are lesser. Never ends well

@amyengle_author AI plagiarism aside, it just seems too early for the tech, and ultimately, as an actual writer, its not going to help you actually write better yourself. That takes butt in chair Editing tools like ProWriting Aid might benefit from AI one day to offer solid critique, but not yet

Has anyone used ChatGPT to help flush out their story? It’s been recommended to me and I’ve been considering using it just to get things started. Obviously it can’t write a full 120,000 manuscript in my writing style. I was just curious if anyone has used it as a writing tool.
