1/🚭 CRUK-funded research from @StirUni is out! It explores the factors that affect the accessibility of vapes, like packaging, displays, flavours & retail environment. The Tobacco & Vapes Bill, if implemented, would enable the UK Govt to take action in these areas.

I've really been looking forward to the launch of this Blueprint: ❓Which obesity policies have the best evidence? ❓Which ones are most cost effective? ❓Which ones would have the most impact? Timely, balanced and user-friendly, you'll want to bookmark this! #obesity #policy
Nesta@nesta_uk

New analysis: it is possible and affordable to halve obesity by the end of the decade, if governments implement the most effective high impact, low cost solutions. Today we launch Nesta's blueprint for halving obesity: telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/11/0… @camillahmturner @Telegraph

What a refreshing headline! 'The right calls it the 'nanny state' - I call it standing up to rich corporations and protecting people's health'. Also - since when did a nanny not just want what's best for those she cares about? theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

As smoking is one of the leading drivers of health inequalities, seeing how stop smoking services could be adapted to improve uptake in low socioeconomic groups is important if we’re going to reach #SmokefreeForAll. Proud to have contributed to the study 👇 looking at just that.

Some good news from last week as we heard that the UK Government will press ahead with Oct 2025 implementation of TV & online advertising restrictions on foods high in fat, salt and sugar. We've been campaigning to #EndJunkFoodAds since 2016, and many of our supporters have taken action to help make this happen.
