It is very sad but predictable to hear from my followers that Zimbabwe’s biggest supermarket group, OK Zimbabwe, ha shut down the following branches:
•Robson Manyika
•Kuwadzana Express
•Chitungwiza Town Centre
•Glen Norah
I am also told by industry insiders that six more branches will be closed very soon due to the collapsed economy triggered by the bogus local currency and public looting by Mnangagwa’s criminal cartels.
We told Mnangagwa that his local currency project, which was not backed by anything except propaganda, would collapse the economy.
The local currency was a project devised at Mnangagwa’s farm by his criminal cartel members to ensure they had an instrument to loot public funds.
If Zimbabwe were a democracy or simply a country with the rule of law, Mnangagwa would be sitting in jail with his criminal cartel gang members.
He is a criminal who has avoided jail because he is in power!
These closures bring unemployment not only to OK Zimbabwe but also to downstream and upstream industries.
Downstream industries are businesses that rely on OK Zimbabwe to sell their products, such as farmers, suppliers, and manufacturers of goods stocked in the supermarkets.
Upstream industries are businesses that provide logistics like truckers that moved goods to OK Zimbabwe, packaging and maintenance service providers.
As Zimbabweans, we must also reflect on whether we have the right people to take on this dictatorship and remove it by any means necessary or we will forever be tweeting and posting our misery on social media!
