It is perhaps a good omen of my success in achieving what I expected from doing a PhD.

Recently I reviewed a paper for a very prestigious journal. It turned out to be rather a lengthy and in-depth discussion than a bullet-point list of general questions. I felt proud when I got to know other experts' opinions later, most of which I shared too.

Our new cover in Small (related to this paper: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/sm…) illustrates a robot that is folding an origami swan that gradually turns into a living swan. This is a nod to the automated folding mechanism we propose to fold origami biomaterials for tissue regeneration.

Together with several Dutch-Iranian and Iranian academics and Rectors of Dutch universities we express our deep concerns about the ongoing violence in Iran. #IranRevoIution #StopExecutionInIran #Mahsa_Amini

Intrusive thought: Researchers and especially the PIs must update their profile pictures every 1-2 years. It is a weird feeling to meet them looking 20 years older than on their personal/institutional web pages.

My PhD defense on May 25th officially marked the end of my PhD studies @tudelft3mE . I am grateful to my promotors Prof. @amir_zadpoor and Dr. Lidy Fratila-Apachitei for their guidance and supervision, and to my colleagues and friends in NL & abroad for their continuous support.

Recently started a new project that revolves around biomaterial's surface #geometry. I have to admit that #mathematics, although not everyone's favorite topic, is indeed the most beautiful of the disciplines.
