@Ernest17340919 @withAlvin__ In the early church, people gave their all and not just a 10th.
I wonder for Christians who say they love Jesus Christ but are so legalistic about giving to support His agenda through the church.

@KNCATIA @withAlvin__ Should Christian pay tithe according to the Bible? Can you help me cos I don't get it
English

If you pay tithe in a church and the church can't assist you in your time of need, then what's the essense?
Listen to this story:
Her mother was a devoted church member who started paying her tithe in 1985 and paid religiously until she was bedridden and passed away.
When she was sick, church elders and members visited but never made a single contribution to her healthcare, despite knowing the family’s financial situation.
The woman fought her sickness bravely, but death ultimately prevailed. After her death, the same church that couldn’t contribute to her health is now saying it’s their responsibility to buy a casket and dress the corpse, in accordance with their church rules.
Was the church fair to the woman and her family ??? What are your thoughts 🤔

Part 2 😂 “The church elders, the leaders… you’re all thieves” — Brave woman calls pastor and elders of Methodist church thieves for taking tithe. Protect this woman please!!!

@Ernest17340919 @withAlvin__ Call it tithe or offering or any other description.
Christians should support the course of Christ through the church; that is what lovers do or?
People love football so they support it with their all why shouldn't Christians?

Prayer is an expression of faith. In moments when there seems to be no help, just pray. May this inspire you for the week ahead.

@withAlvin__ But to pick on the church like this is actually below the belt. Come again.
English

@withAlvin__ I am not holding brief for any church who n is not sensitive to the plight of her members though.
James 1:27 is clear on what our Lord expects from us. The Lord Jesusa, the early church and the apostles modeled it.
There are a number of 21st century churches who do same.

@Biblicalman Check the meaning of the word "replenish" in the 17th Century; it will help clarify some things.
