We’re at a scene in Logan County where two deputies have been shot. OHP confirms they are alive, stable condition at the hospital. We’re waiting to hear details on a suspect. @koconews

BIGGER THAN BASEBALL: At their game recently, players on the Mount St. Mary's and Plainview HS baseball teams prayed over an umpire battling stage four cancer. Seniors on the MSM team have now organized a fundraiser to raise money for that umpire, Cory Green. @koconews

BREAKING: OCPD has two suspects in custody after a shooting at an apartment complex.

D.O.C. showed me confiscated cell phones that were smuggled into a state prison.
AG Drummond is calling on Congress to allow cell phone jamming systems at Oklahoma prisons—meaning mobile phones would not work on prison property. Currently, federal law bans that tech. @koconews

BREAKING: OCPD officers are looking for suspects after a shooting near Capitol Hill High School. This is the scene near SW 35th and Lee Avenue. One person shot, condition unknown currently. @koconews

FIRE DAMAGE: These are just two of several houses we’ve found destroyed in Cleveland County, off Spencer Circle and 108th Ave. This neighborhood was evacuated before the fire moved through, but it’s one of about 8 total areas where people had to leave their homes. @koconews

BREAKING: A NOAA facility in Norman is on the DOGE list of building leases set for termination. Rep. Jacob Rosecrants says it's a facility where technicians work on doppler radars. I've reached out to NOAA for comment, but have not heard back yet. @koconews

OPERATION GUARDIAN: I'm reading the new agreement between ICE and OK DPS--these are some of the new authorized functions for OHP Troopers.
The Governor's office announced this afternoon that there are similar agreements with the OK Bureau of Narcotics, and OSBI. @koconews

Devon M. Jacob will file a federal civil rights lawsuit on behalf of Lich Vu, the 71-year-old injured in an incident with OCPD. AG dismissed the criminal charges in the case, but Jacob--a former officer--says it’s a clear use of unnecessary force. @koconews

BREAKING: Vaughn Cannon has put in an application to withdraw his guilty plea, in the murder of his wife, and CCSO deputy, Jordan Pyle. Cannon was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole in December, and originally pleaded guilty in September 2024. @koconews

Thank you, Oklahoma. That is what I want to say first and foremost as I share some personal news: December 31st will be my last day at KOCO. This decision to step away from this job is the hardest decision I have ever had to make. It came after many long conversations with family, mentors, and friends.
