@KOLSANART Pal you can't say "I pray for the day y'all stop drawing Sonic the way you want because i don't like it" and then try to make it pass as an opinion.
Ofc no one will get the point if it looks like you're not throwing hate to that quill, but to the people who draws Sonic with it

@polarbearcomic I think everything else abt the design is fine, and even Tyson realized soon enough that the quill should only be treated as a perspective thing (look at Origins) and ended up making a more satisfying Sonic design overall because of it.

honest critique:
its just shape vs style imo, quills are more of a stylistic choice rather than the staple icon of his design, depending on how it's drawn the extra spines can also mold into the shape of his silhouette giving the style more cohesion with his original design

Last thing I'll say about this is that anyone saying they like it because it makes him look more "wild" do not get the point of Sonic at all
Also, anyone trying to shit on this discussion calling me anti-art is actually more anti-art themselves for impeding on artistic discussion

@bednnap @ckforbesX I think there's a way to go about it, like with boom, that makes it look like that, but most people are basing it off of a misread of Junio Sonic's design

@KOLSANART @ckforbesX I don’t think describing Sonic as wild isn’t necessarily wrong, just a way of describing the way his quills are. I always thought it was supposed to be little quills deviating from the main ones

@PandoMigos Maybe part of that is my fault because of wording but I figured people wouldn't assume I'm telling people to stop drawing Sonic with the extra quill altogether. A good portion of people knew what I meant, but others twisted my words so they could have something to be mad at

Just because a popular artist publicly dislikes something YOU like, it doesn’t mean they are personally judging you as an artist. Not liking a common thing ppl draw isn’t fucking “anti-art”
