@bootsnleather2 My own father landed in Burma on VJ day. He refused to wear the VJ Medal he was awarded out of respect for those who did fight there. That was the man he was.

@KPPresents1 Agree with you there Kev, your father and many Grand Fathers too. My Grand Father fought in Burma never in Europe but still what he did is despicable. Then to claim it wasn't one and we are all wrong.

Hello. Given certain news reports yesterday I am giving strong consideration to leaving this site. I cannot in all conscience be part of something that is run by someone who even gives the appearance of supporting something my father fought to overthrow.

He was in Europe 44 to 45 including being on the company that found Buchenwald. Evil like that is to be fought against, never forgotten, never absorbed and normalised. I feel it only right yo give fair warning.
