Today concluded (for me) a fantastic term spent with P6R. Thank you, boys and girls, for all of your hard work and enthusiasm since August. It has been a lot of fun! This photo collage made by the class was too good not to share 🌟🌟

Well done to this week’s Star Award winner! Z used personification and similes really effectively to describe a setting. Super effort 🌟🌟

After planning our fear tales, we shared our ideas with a partner and gave feedback. We thought about one thing we liked in our partner’s story and something they’d need to consider carefully when writing our final piece. ✏️🌟👏

We enjoyed a book breakfast to start the week! We each read or listened to a book of our choice and enjoyed some breakfast snacks with our peers. ☺️📚 #BookWeekScot

We have been learning to identify classroom objects by their Spanish translation. We played a game of pass the parcel and had to identify different items when the music stopped, before learning how to ask and respond to questions. Ask us how we can earn extra dojos in class! 🇪🇸✏️

We really enjoyed sharing our book trailers, a story and activity with Primary 1 yesterday. #BookWeekScotland

During our Play Leader session this week, we worked in groups to plan, organise and deliver games. We had to consider STEPS (ask us about this!) during both the planning and delivery stages. Such confident individuals in P6R 🤩 Thanks @ASC_Andrew1 for all of your help 👏

We have been learning to identify classroom objects by their Spanish translation. We played a partner game to practise saying and translating Spanish vocabulary, before matching terms in games using the iPads. ¡Fantastico, P6R! 🇪🇸🇪🇸

After learning about life on plantations, we worked in groups to create replica designs of the houses enslaved people stayed in after arriving in the Americas 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

This afternoon we started our Young Leader (Play Leader) training with @ASC_Andrew1. We thought about the skills and qualities leaders possess and those we’ll need to develop over the coming weeks. A super session, we can’t wait for next week! 🏃‍♀️🏃

We have been learning about the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the middle passage journey endured by enslaved people. This afternoon we used TinkerCAD to create replicas of the vessels which transported millions to the Americas. We learned how to insert, resize and layer blocks ⛵️

We really enjoyed an opportunity to visit the library with our buddies from @KPS_Primary1S this morning. We helped the P1 children to choose a book and scan it out at the desk before reading to them. 📚📚
