Remembrance Day Ceremonies are occurring in Kingston today on King St W at the main cenotaph and in City Park. There will be road closures in the area to keep all participants safe between 8am-12pm ^JB #RemembranceDay

The Traffic Safety Unit was proud to train 4 new recruits in Stationary RADAR for Speed Enforcement. Multiple stops were conducted across the city for speeding and other offences. A strong start for the next generation of officers. #ygk

We’ve received many traffic complaints about unnecessarily loud vehicles being driven downtown, especially on Ontario St. This rider was stopped after repeatedly revving their motorcycle on Princess St & Ontario St. Stoooed and kiCharged under the Highway Traffic Act. ^JB #ygk

GMC towing insecure mini skid steer was stopped with expired June 2024 temp permit. Has required a Safety Cert for 1+ year. Both GMC & trailer required annual inspection stickers. Declared unfit, licence plates seized. $750 in fines, towed at owner's cost. #ygk #belegit ^JB

Stunt Driving Stops Here! M2 class rider caught speeding at 122km/hr - 60km/hr zone on Taylor Kidd Blvd, plus an illegal licence plate curtain seized. Faces court, fines up to $10,000, and 1 year driving suspension on conviction with mandatory Driver Improvement Course! ^JB #ygk

Stop Signs are not a Suggestion!!! Seriously, stop! G2 Class driver was stopped this weekend for Failing to Stop at the intersection of Bayridge Dr and Creekford Rd. Completed a right turn andkings cut off another driver who had right of way. Driver charged accordingly. ^JB #ygk

Kingston Police hosted its first ever @OPCVC Commercial Vehicle Front Line Enforcement Course with instructors helping from @ONtransport @OPP_ER 10 students were instructed (8-KP & 2-OPP). 20 traffic stops resulted with 9 vehicles put out of service and 23 tickets issued #ygk^JB
