Well, it's not pretty. But it's very solid, stable, functional and portable and that's good enough for me. Cutting the firing ports with a reciprocating saw was basically working off vibes. But it's all I have and I'm in savings mode now so no new tools.

@ArmedJ0y I might be missing something obvious, but why not just run a couple 3” deck screws up thru the bottom board into vertical 2x4? The plywood face will hold everything together anyway.

Okay lads, I've hit a wall on building my VTac barricade. The guide calls for this part, that Lowes no longer carries. Idfk what this is, where to find it, what to search, etc. So if you could, with a link, tell me something to get to attach a vertical 2x4 to a horizontal 2x4 in this configuration, let me know.

@K0NR I've never really noticed it before, but the knob/button layout is 100% identical to the 7300. The only difference is a few of the button functions.

The Icom IC-9700 has a very nice Big-Knob-to-Front-Panel Ratio.

Lawdamursee. I ran out of rope again. This is getting ridiculous 🤣🤣🤣. All i need is maybe a hunnit feet or so more but they only sell 1lb spools in this coated twine. Guess I can use the leftovers for repairs 🤷‍♂️

@TD87011 @mio20200701 That’s a great looking hunk of wood! I have an ever-evolving project tele too. It’s an ‘02 Mexi Standard that’s seen the router 2-3 times. It’s currently pretending to be a Tele Deluxe. The next, and hopefully final form will be a neck P90 and PAF bridge pickup.
