📢 Public Notice: Automation of Bank Guarantees in iCMS The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) informs all importers, exporters, clearing agents, and customs stakeholders that, effective 1st December 2025, all Bank Guarantees will be executed and managed exclusively through the Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS).

With Ksh 3.19M in uncustomed goods intercepted and Ksh 1.6M recovered, KRA’s Marine Unit on Lake Victoria is cracking down on smuggling and boosting lawful trade. Revenue at Kisumu Port surged to Ksh 107M, up from Ksh 30M last year, thanks to increased surveillance, smarter clearance, and enhanced marine operations. “We’ve greatly reduced illegal cross-border trade while promoting legitimate commerce,” said Dominic Kengara, Chief Manager, Customs Western Region. What’s flowing now isn’t just goods, it’s trust, taxes, and transformation.

🚨 Record-Breaking Milestone! A new historic record has been set in customs revenue collection — Ksh 85.1B in September 2025— the highest monthly performance in our history! The achievement shows revenue growth fueled by customs reforms and growth in trade and petroleum taxes.
