I don't have much fight left to give. Everyday more of my memory seems to vanish. It seems I fight now just for peace and calm. Nothing more.

In Star Trek, there is no money. Replicators can produce all the food and drink. They can produce just about anything. People don't join Star Fleet because they need the pay and benefits. They do it because they want their life to matter. They do it because they want to make a difference. If AI and robots go on to produce all the food, shelter and such here, we could be facing the same situation here where money has lost it's value because the work it represents no longer applies.
