One couldn’t ask for a more comprehensive book about the regeneration of Gloucester. Very glad to have a copy of Believing in Gloucester by @pauljames_glos for our department library!

A huge thank you to @pauljames_glos for his excellent talk about the redevelopment of Gloucester. Brilliant links to our curriculum and important to know how things have changed, and continue to change, in our city. It was lovely to welcome geographers from @HSFGDenmarkRoad too!

Huge infrastructure project at the Air Balloon roundabout (can we still call it that now the pub has been demolished?). The “missing link” has been talked about for many, many years and it’s well underway.

@shiv_teaching Should the words be changed to “molten rock on the surface” rather than “magma coming to the surface” as the latter is still magma… sounds pedantic I realise but i suppose that’s the point!

So looking forward to welcoming @pauljames_glos to speak to use about the regeneration of Gloucester today!

Today we were collecting carbon data in two areas of woodland on the @FSCNettlecombe estate enabling us to compare carbon sequestration in sycamore and oak trees. It was wet, it was muddy but we were not deterred! 👊🏼 🌳 🌳🌳

We were so lucky with the weather and the L6th got to practise methods they may wish to use in their individual NEAs #fieldwork

Then it was a change of scene - swapping the city for the coast down at Porlock Weir. Yesterday L6th carried out sediment analysis with brilliant guidance from Ed @FSCNettlecombe
