Talentless actors get away with being mediocre just because they’re alright-looking, but people always want to tear actresses down over the most mundane things. That’s why I’ll always have an issue with these “criticisms” because they’re always applied strictly to women.

Your favorite actor might be someone else’s least favorite, and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean they can’t act or that they’re bad; it just means we all have different tastes and perspectives. That’s exactly why fan wars don’t make sense.

Nicola Coughlan at LauraLynn - Ireland’s Children’s Hospice today performing a sensory version of ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ “Super special day meeting the lovely Nicola Coughlan, she performed a sensory version of her new movie. So lovely for the kids and so much hard work put in by the incredible staff to make it all happen. And the icing on the cake was the amazing Jane McKenna (founder of Laura Lynn ) was there to share the memories” 📸 Izzy’s Journey on Facebook

.@KHOJIIII Hey, since you claim you “studied” fashion, I probably don’t need to tell you this, but fashion critiques should be insightful, thoughtful, and at the very least somewhat useful to the person listening. It should have something to say about the clothes, the styling, the fit, or the execution. So I would really love to know how telling a woman, and I paraphrase, that her back “isn’t worth showing” is meant to help anyone. What exactly is the insight there? Because that is not fashion critique. It is just body shaming disguised as professionalism. And coming from someone whose own styling record is hardly flawless, the lack of self-awareness is almost impressive. People who sit in glass houses should never be the first to throw stones. Do better.

I’m sorry, but you cannot call yourself a professional fashion critic while snickering, mocking, and body shaming actresses as though you’re at a gossip session. If you want to be taken seriously as a professional, you need to know where to draw the line. What you present as fashion criticism often comes across less like informed commentary and more like two friends sitting around gossiping while a camera happens to be rolling. You cannot have it both ways. There’s a reason so many people no longer take your fashion critiques seriously. @aamnaisani
