Our new paper published online today in Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism: Cysteine-lowering treatment with mesna against obesity: Proof of concept and results from a human phase I, dose-finding study.

The first original study from our consortium has been published in European Journal of Nutrition on plasma sulfur amino acids and body fat depots in two independent Dutch cohorts. Thanks to Dr. Elena Tore for all her hard work! A thread with more info below 👇

Two years into the project and we could finally meet at @NutritionUiO! We have been discussing tons of generated data and socializing, and look forward to the next phase of communicating our results on sulfur amino acids and metabolic health in humans. @KVinknes @l_retterst
