In the Jammu region, the ongoing heatwave is likely to ease from tomorrow morning, bringing some relief. Thundershower activity is also possible in some parts. No significant heatwave-like conditions are expected over Kashmir during the next 10–12 days. 2/2

Weather Update Sunny and dry weather conditions are expected across Kashmir till tomorrow afternoon. Later during the afternoon to evening hours, rain and thunderstorms may develop in scattered areas, with chances of gusty winds and hailstorm at a few places. 1/2

In another incident reported from Gulmarg, seven sheep were killed after a tree was uprooted due to strong winds in a forest area. The sheep belonged to Mohd Saleem Chopan, son of Sanaullah Chopan, a resident of Burazwansh Kreeri, and died on the spot.

Strong winds uprooted several trees along the Baba Reshi–Gulmarg road. A BSF personnel was injured after a tree collapsed in Gulmarg due to the gusty winds. Traffic has also been affected in the area.

Strong winds injured a man in the Fish Pond area of Sonamarg on Thursday late afternoon. The injured man, identified as Mohammad Sultan from Safapora, sustained injuries during the incident.
