@seanryther@hbrew2@NancyEklund#SHAPEHealthEd I try to keep the surveys to around 6 questions, few words and lists to click. See attached example that we made into a Google form. Also note the barrier question.
@seanryther@hbrew2@NancyEklund I have found that our employees like to be able to click from a list and not have much text to read through. See attached example -- this is a list that we put into a Google form. Note the barrier question. Knowing this helps you meet the needs of your staff.
@OharaKimiko We have our wellness fair in October. I have laptops available for employees to complete the HRA then, or they can do it later. I host several HRA challenges with drawings for prizes during the school year - usually Oct. and Jan. #SHAPEHealthEd
A2: By encouraging employees to complete a Health Risk Assessment, we capture aggregate reports that help us build a program that meets the needs of our employees with challenges, classes & seminars to help improve their health and well-being. #SHAPEHealthEd
@MsWellnessEdu We use the HRA from our insurance carrier. I host several raffles to encourage employees to finish it within a timeframe. Then we get the aggregate reports to help with programing ideas. I have laptops onsite during our wellness fair from them to complete too. #SHAPEHealthEd
@seanryther These books are great resources for getting ideas and helping to make sure we all look at the big picture of well-being, beyond the physical. Highly recommend them! #shapehealthed
Q4: This year we had monthly themes for our EW program - mental health, heart health, safety (included a home safety checklist challenge), financial wellness (included a gratitude and a budget challenge), plus others -- focusing all the dimensions of wellness. #ShapeHealthEd
Q4. We just finished celebrating National Nutrition Month with activities for students and employees. For employees we had a healthy recipe challenge, trivia challenge and provided them with a day of fresh fruit snacks. #ShapeHealthEd
Q4. We have branded our wellness program. For example we added our wellness logo to the teacher reusable to-go boxes from the cafeteria. They use these to go to teacher meetings during lunch. #ShapeHealthEd
Q4. Communication is key. How do you reach all your employees? This year I started a Wellness Wednesday electronic newsletter, plus a bulletin board for our physical plant. It keeps everyone in the loop.#ShapeHealthEd
Q4: We have lunch and learns during Prof. Days on topics such as nutrition, organizing tips, stress management, mindfulness, financial wellness, gut health, etc. #ShapeHealthEd
It has been great to connect with all of you tonight. I hope to spend time reading your tweets over the next few days and responding and sharing more ideas. GO UVA!!!!#SHAPEHealthEd
A8: I like the idea of finding ways to connect with other people interested in this topic & field to share ideas & get advice. It would be nice to have a monthly meeting of the minds. Share on Social Media??? #SHAPEHealthEd
A7: I love to learn and try new ways to improve my wellness for my own well-being and maybe use what I learn in our school program. Therefore, I’m constantly reading about health and wellness & being adventurous in trying new things. #SHAPEHealthEd
