Time for a round of “Ghost Castle” with my daughters. I knew this game as “Which Witch” when I was a kid. Disappeared for decades and finally came back (with a new name) a few years ago.

@john_murdy Generally speaking 8 houses and 3 scare zones. Same format or new locations? Really missing Michael Myers at the event & Monsters was such a treat. My favorite houses: Bride lives, Pandoras box, Michael Myers anything and Haunting of Hill House. Idea! a Universal Monsters Tram

Just wanted to reset the rules for you Boils and Ghouls. If you ask me a really specific question about a specific property and its likelihood of being in the event either now or in the future, I’m not gonna answer that. Not being rude, obviously can’t respond to those questions.

@john_murdy My 5th year attending. Been seeing the facades go up and they are very unique in build and size. Any location impaticular facade wise your looking foreward to most?

Snap shot of a typical day in the life of HHN…reviewing color elevations for one house, sculpts big and small for another house, writing trivia for a queue line video, reviewing scarezone character designs, looking at photos for films that haven’t come out yet, etc etc etc

@john_murdy Been attending the event every year for past 6 years. Why every year Orlando gets such a jump start on announcements like icons, dates and tickets. Looking foreward to seeing what is coming this year. See you in the fog!

Finished writing a something for HHN 2026 at USH that I started working on back in November 2025, then shelved for a few months & eventually came back to. Not a house but something for a house. Sometimes you have to let things sit for a while before you’re ready to tackle them.

@john_murdy We appreciate all the hard work you and your team does. See you there October 23rd. Will be going RIP again. I watched some hhn history and heard in 1997 that a member died at 20 years old working the terror tram. Is that true? That would make an awesome basis for a haunt!

Getting into those 14-15 hour days/nights now. Press tours during the day, lighting and cast rehearsals at night and everything else in between. Been installing some rather large “things” in A Quiet Place, Monstruos Dos and Ghostbusters #HorrorNeverSleeps

@john_murdy @CowMissing Awesome ride!!! I have to ride this each time we come to universal. Definitely my favorite ride at universal!! It would be awesome to see an hhn house inspired by these movies or the ride.

Hey Boils & Ghouls. Well it’s begun with today’s announcement for HHN 2024 at USH of “A Quiet Place.” Much more to come. After 11 PM here in Ireland, still in meetings so just going to answer your primary question. This house is going in UBE (former WD attraction). Stay scary 🎃

@john_murdy I feel like hhn 30 had some of the best houses. Be really cool to have a few Universal monsters houses that tied in together to make 1 big story but separate houses all together. We need beetle juice. Le llorna house was awesome. Cant wait to see monsters unmasked & purge show

It’s surreal that I just dropped my daughters off to school here in Ireland and HHN in Hollywood is just wrapping up for the night. Even more surreal that I’m reviewing the first house ground plan for HHN 2024 right now. The Never-Ending Cycle of Horror!

Back in the saddle and deep in “The Grind” for HHN 2023. Started doing lighting last night for Chucky, Universal Monsters and a house to be named later. More lighting walks tonight. A lot of work to be done still but things are looking good.

@john_murdy Any chance of a Michael myers, scream, saw x or thirteen ghosts haunt? When will the last houses be announced?

We’re doing a marathon shoot in LA today for all the HHN in house video content (from 8AM-4AM). I’m following the action from here. So cool to finally see characters in full costumes, make up etc. I’ll share some of this at our HHN presentation @MidsummerScream on July 30th!

I just had my wife do a temp read for some narration I wrote for a house at HHN and not because she’s going to voice the part (my daughter Izzy in Poltergeist is the only other one in my family to do VO for HHN). It’s because she speaks the language….and knows the pronunciation
