As someone who didn’t do it right, who looks back on years marked by brokenness, wrong turns, and the ache of knowing I wandered far from God’s design for life, love, and family, I find myself looking at Erika and Charlie and longing for what they had. I believe He is still able to bring beauty from ashes. I believe He will take what these vile creatures meant for evil and somehow, through His mercy, use it for good. The enemy delights in destruction, but God is still the Author of redemption. And maybe that is why this hurts so deeply to watch. Because love like that reminds us of what is sacred. What is possible. What God intended from the beginning. So instead of tearing apart a grieving widow, maybe we should mourn with her. Maybe we should pray for her. Maybe we should remember that behind every headline and every rumor is a real human heart trying to survive unimaginable pain.
