
@bals_alex @SPQRSA I happen to know someone that worked on it and he’s still in South Africa so; some are still here and they certainly could teach others that are “lying low” too.

The Scheffel bogie, invented in South Africa, first went into service in a fleet of South African Railway ore wagons in 1975. It was used to set the world narrow gauge high speed record of 245 kilometres per hour on Cape gauge tracks.
