If you're worried that AI might be coming for your job, this is a great read. It's not AI, but people who effectively use it, who will be the game changers. There's no reason why you can't be one of them. ow.ly/JgEV50OYVm4 🤖 #AI #Innovation #FutureOfWork

Some challenging questions from my 5yr old this morning... Why does the world exist? What was here before the world? Why is shampoo called shampoo? And what’s ‘sham’? Thank goodness for Google! #questions #5am #mumsatwork #learning

@AndrewMinaHR @ShelleyRowe71 @ShelleyRowe71 I say follow your heart. Some of the best HR folk I’ve worked with have acquired commercial experience in non HR roles and then come back into HR. I’d see it as an asset but the main thing is, if you can, do work that lights you up inside. Work that lets you shine.

I have a confession to make. I have applied for non-#HR positions and am feeling conflicted. I ❤️ this #HRCommunity and appreciate the support I have received. The opportunities for HR in the Myrtle Beach area are sparse which prompted me to look outside. Bad idea? 😳

At the end of today I’ll be putting my OOO for the rest of the year and starting maternity leave. Being pregnant during a pandemic has been rather strange but looking forward to this next adventure- even if the fact that I could be a mum in the next 2 weeks is blowing my mind 🤯

I’m not sure ‘normal’ is a thing anymore but I love this quote. We can all be amazing if we find the courage to step out of an existing routine that’s no longer in our best interests. We can all be amazing if we give ourselves time, space and permission to experiment and play.

What HR book(s) do you recommend? I recently heard “Agile HR” is a must-read. Have you read it? Thoughts? I’m reading Back to Human: How Great Leaders Create Connection in the Age of Isolation 👍🏼 #HRCommunity

Here’s another interesting read on the topic of burnout. I love the descriptions of passive and active indicators of burnout in this one. Also some useful info on how to spot symptoms in your team and support in managing them. hbr.org/2021/01/do-you… #burnout

@LucyDoddleHR Yes @LucyDoddleHR great idea. One of my biggest frustrations is when meetings are automatically booked in for an hour when really most don’t need to be. In fact, a lot of them don’t actually need to be a meeting at all.
