@EasyPaladin "Have MRE's gotten better? Well you just picked up a girl walking 10 miles down a deserted highway in the rain for some cheetos... so no, they still suck balls." She gestures at the little corner store ahead. "You can drop me there mister, we should get a beer sometime? On me."

@K_StewRP "Few days, mostly sleep in the bed of the truck though. Greasy foods better then any of those fucking MRE's.. they ever make those things taste better?" His grumbling wouldnt cease for a few moments, something about shitty cheese and bread so dry you could lay block with it.

Leans against the readers old pickup, eyeing him up. "This your truck mister? My Dad used to drive one of these, they don't make them like this anymore. Classic. Really cool... you new in town?" 😏

@EasyPaladin Every building in the little hillbilly town needed new paint... "That's the motel, it's pretty ratty to be honest. Oh and the diner over there isn't too bad, it's greasy but cheap... there's a fun redneck bar down that side road... you plannin' on staying long Roran?"

@K_StewRP "Thats good, itll be about the only thing you'll smell in here. Cept maybe me of course." And she sure would, a strange mix of gun oil, and oak trees seemed to waft from the man. It certainly wasnt a scent a city girl would love, but it was a hit with backwoods gals...~

@EasyPaladin "Car? Did I mention I'm a private? I'm fucking broke." Laughs as she pulls the seat belt across her hips and clicks it in place. "I love old cars and stuff, like I said, my Dad had a truck just like this one. The smell of engine oil and leather are totally my jam mister..."

@K_StewRP "Marines, long time ago. Nice to meet you kris." The old truck rumbled to life easily, like waking from a power nap, as he pulled onto the road, one hand on the wheel, the other on the shift knob. "Any reason you got no car? You sure seem to like vehicles at the least."

@EasyPaladin She's genuinely shocked at the man's intuition. "How the fuck did you guess that? Yeah Army... Private first class. Kristen, but call me Kris. I'm stationed on the base down the other way. You must have served too huh? Or were you a cop or somethin'?"

@K_StewRP He smiled, but it didnt quite seem to reach his eyes, and eyebrow raised at the young lady. "Army right? No, I aint a serial killer, but I have taken lives. Im Roran, and you?" He climbed into the driver side, shifting his waist a bit as he got in, before turning the key.

@EasyPaladin Rolls her eyes at the old timer but can't help but smirk at his old fashioned gesture, climbing into the passenger seat. "I don't think I caught your name mister? You aren't like a serial killer or a creep right?"

@K_StewRP He laughed easily, moving to the side and making an extravagant show of opening the door for her. "This old thang been through worse then a wet cutie like you sitting on her. No worries, if you make too much of a mess ill just charge you a few cheetos."

@EasyPaladin Gesturing down the quiet rainy road with a shrug. "Nah, aint' got a car, I was just walking to the gas station for some smokes and Cheetos. But I'll take a ride stranger... If you don't mind me getting your seat a bit wet?" She lived on base a few miles up the road.

@K_StewRP He laughed, a gravelly worn voice. "White trash huh? That sure sounds familiar.." He gets lost in memories for a moment, a soft smile on his face. "Wheres your car? You need a ride? I dont mind taking you."

@K_StewRP The calloused hand would shake hers gently, but firmly. A chuckle and a shake of the head as a smile graced his scarred face. "No ma'am, just enjoying the view of rhe countryside is all. I like to stop and tske it in, most of my life was hurrying up to go somewhere, no more."

@EasyPaladin She was walking to town when she spotted the man and his truck pulled over on the side. "Retired drifter hmm? My names Kris. Engine trouble? Out of gas? The filling station is just up the road another mile or so..." Extending a hand from her jacket pocket towards the stranger.

@K_StewRP "Passing through, I travel mostly after retiring. And yeah, she gets me around, aint ever let me down when I needed her."
