Last Friday, 8th of May, the 10th Guild Council successfully held their first meeting led by the Rt. Hon. Speaker. The meeting saw the passing of the budget and many other issues regarding student welfare were discussed. The best is yet to come.

We are pleased to have conducted an effective induction of the new guild leaders and sports and games union leaders today. After opening remarks by the Dean of Students, the Vice Chancellor addressed the leaders. The leaders were able to hear from several carefully selected guest speakers regarding the selected themes. Yesterday, Friday 24th of April, Kabale University Games Union held friendly games with the Kabale Comprehensive School of Nursing aimed at strengthening relations and socialization. The games, ranging from football, chess, netball among many others.

We were pleased to host the National Social Security Fund @nssfug career fair this morning. Several insightful presentations have been made about the potential benefits of artificial intelligence. The event provided a platform for students to learn about AI applications in various industries, including healthcare, education, and finance. Participants discussed AI's potential of AI to transform workflows and improve efficiency. This initiative highlights the growing importance of integrating AI into everyday practices. NSSF and ABSA Bank are among the key brands, which attented the career fair.

The representative team managed to emerge victorious as they presented a convincing problem solving research. The very good researchers with help of the academic supervisors who provided guidance cited a problem and provided curated solutions

The competition took place at Mbarara University Engineering Faculty in Kihumuro, and was attended by universities from all over the country. The theme of the challenge was "Building a Better World Through Research and Innovation"

On Friday 17th April, the KABALE University Engineering students' Society participated in the Inter-University Innovation Challenge that was hosted by the Engineering Society @MbararaUST and supported by CENTER FOR INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER (CITT).
