This evening, I met the Members of Parliament-elect at the ongoing retreat in Kyankwanzi and listened to presentations by experts on personal financial management and wealth creation for leaders. We also discussed key national issues, including taxation and how to address them. I encouraged the members to be ideologically clear and always weigh their actions against principles. Many of the challenges we see, such as conflicts, cheating and bribery, are a result of ideological underdevelopment.

The President highlighted electrification, industrialization, and regional integration as essential pillars for Africa’s progress, noting that reliance on biomass and low industrialization are driving environmental degradation across the continent.
