Economic policy is on an old broken bus. Talk of "All Party Govt." is a red herring. What can it do that the current govt. cannot? Emergency vote showed that Executive (1) has a servile legislative majority (2) doesn't care what the opp. thinks. So what's an all party govt for?

This time we should develop our own Reform Program and Revival Plan and then have a dialog with the public and get the public engaged in the discussion and get their buy in. Then we should go to IMF and convince them for their support. Countries such as Lebanon or Zambia failed

Sri Lanka has gone to the IMF over 15 times and followed IMF directions. This has not led to sustainable solutions because politicians and governments never followed up with their own plans or reforms thereafter. This time we should think differently and out of the box.

worker remittances have dropped by 22% from 2020 to 2021 in Sri Lanka according Public Finance.lk. However all our regional countries have grown their foreign remittance by over 25% If our own have no confidence, can we expect foreign investment!!!
