BREAKING: The United Arab Emirates said it quit OPEC and OPEC+, dealing a heavy blow to the oil exporting groups and their de facto leader, Saudi Arabia, at a time when the Iran war has caused a historic energy shock and unsettled the global economy reut.rs/4vXsBJy

📍Somalia's opposition backed by the UAE are planning to rip up the Turkish-Somali Defence and Economic Framework agreement including the oil exploration if they ever come to power. They and the UAE see Turkiye as a threat to their power in Somalia.

According to claims surrounding the recent meeting in Djibouti attendedby President Ismai Omar of Djibouti, PM Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia , the proposal centered on a significant withdrawal and reconfiguration of borders across the Horn of Africa involving the three countries. Under the suggested arrangement, Djibouti would transform into a fully Somali state by incorporating territories from Diridawa, Sitti, Harawo, Djibouti city and Awdal region of Somalia effectively bringing together all Issa and Gadabuursi regions under new Djibouti state. Ethiopia, in turn would gain control of the Afar regions currently within Djibouti which is 80% of total landmass of Djibouti, thereby securing direct access to the Red Sea and Afar communities in Djibouti will reunite their Afar brothers in Ethiopia. Additionally, the entire Somali state of Ethiopia would be transferred to Somali republic, potentially reshaping political, ethnic, and economic dynamics across the region in a profound and lasting solution.

The warning signs of a fragmenting #Ethiopia are becoming harder to ignore. The President of the Somali Region (Mustafe Mohammed Omer) is openly discussing about the breakup of the #Ethiopian state, admitting that he had prepared the Somali region to secede if the TPLF were to return to power. That admission speaks volumes about the state of Ethiopia under Abiy Ahmed. It depicts one ethnic region is unwilling to be governed by another, and where the prospect of TPLF leadership is seen as a trigger for the country's disintegration. In this video he clearly states that, as TPLF forces advanced toward Addis Ababa, his overriding concern was not to fight for his country, but breaking the Somali Region away from Ethiopia. This raises an obvious question: what calculations were being made by Abiy at the time? may be seceding Oromia? The current fragile state of Ethiopia demands leadership capable of leading the country peacefully —not presiding over its slow unraveling.
