@CobraCommanda_ It's because there was genuine hope for the future as we neared the end of the 90s. Technology was taking off, the future looked bright and we were the stewards of it, at least..that's what we thought.
It was also the height of American cultural influence across the world.

BEST DECADE! 💜 Don't get me wrong I loved being a child of the 80s, and I had a ton of fun in the 2000s in my 20s and even my hipster days in the 2010s, but the 90s is were favorite for good reason:

I found myself watching this 90s video again and I really miss this decade. The 90s were the last era where everyone occupied the exact same reality. There were no custom algorithms curating a personal feed. We stood in line for the exact same movie tickets, and we jammed the same cartridges into our consoles when we got back. When a massive cultural moment dropped, nobody missed it. You either participated, or you had absolutely nothing to talk about the next day. Having limited options is what actually forced us to pay attention. You actually had to pop the tape in and commit to what you were watching. We traded a connected culture for an infinite scroll. There will never be another decade like this.

Looking at Kristala and dang. It looks fun if not a bit rough around the edges. It runs that line of "not hard enough to DS players, but too difficult for normies like me"
Not sure if 40 bucks is low enough to entice me to go in. It looks like a perfect 20 dollar indie title

This allows native 720p from the PS3 to be properly upscaled x2 to 1440p!
Can't believe I hadn't done that already...
The TINK wasn't even really doing anything by passing through the 1080i signal, as It would create interference (sort of like jail bars) at ANY rez in the TINK!

Found something cool with the PS3 and RetroTINK 5X!
I assumed that if it was outputting 1080i native from the PS3 (downsampled to 720p in games) that the game would look better.
TURNS OUT, outputting to 720p native and using the TINK to upscale it to 1440p makes it look AWESOME

@Lord_Rostenl Bound by Flame and Technomancer were really fun :V
Technomancer took longer to get into because it does a LOT of lore dumping early on, but I found myself gravitating towards Bound by Flame more because it gets right into the action.

@KaelaRcade Greedfall was a lot of fun and I enjoyed my time with it. I still need to go back and give techromancer a full run. Just never found the time to really get into it

I don't really know why I'm upset at SPiDERS shutting down but I am. I enjoyed Bound by Flame and Technomancer even as janky as they were at times, I liked the plot of Steel Rising and never got to play Greedfall.
Their games weren't AAA quality but they were fun AA experiences.

I'm perfectly happy to go back to PS3 and earlier if this bone-headed DRM thing is gonna be how it is, and only use my PS5 for monthly/Plus games, if I'm not gonna own digital purchases anyway, at least I get them for "free"
