Loved the snow when I lived in MD, but down here...in NC...not as much. Maybe because it's not as fun as it used to be...

I need to rant for a second: Nobody ever talks about how it’s lowkey annoying being someone who actually NEEDS a service dog… U really can’t even just have a casual stop at the grocery store. 1. I HATE being the person with a dog in the grocery store. I do everything I can to avoid it, so I feel for people who can’t separate from their animals but need to run errands. (I can separate from him for short periods of time). 2. My dog is small. 11 pounds. Too many people? People can’t see him. AND they have carts. He gets run over/trips people up if he’s on the ground. If I carry him, I can’t push the cart so I need another person to help me… So…. Yeah. Leash also gets in the way and restricts his movement but he has to be on a leash for his safety. 3. When it’s 85 degrees out I can’t just leave him in the car outside. He will die. I can feel when certain people don’t want him around/near their food and I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND and feel bad but like. He’s with us and we had to make a stop 😭 4. He’s CUTE and nobody seems to know what a medical alert dog is or does or why people need them even with a person around who can help them if they’re in need. People always think he’s just a pet. 5. Dog can’t be in the cart even if you cover/disinfect it (ppl are also trifling and gross and stores don’t want to provide disinfectant so I get why) but if you don’t want them getting trampled, you have to carry them somehow. 6. He’s also a research dog + human/animal threat detector which… Can be awkward when he detects a threat I don’t see in public… 7. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DESIGN A (CUTE!!!) SMALL SERVICE DOG BASKET THAT WE CAN ATTACH TO CARTS OR SOMETHING?? I’LL PARTNER W YOU!!! 8. Employees (especially animal-haters) are usually NOT welcoming because people with fake service dogs are trifling in the stores. I get it. People are also kinda racist and I look like an annoying type of person who would have a fake adorable service dog that I bring places for attention. Which actually really pisses me off and hurts my feelings
