@GrantAfseth Grant, as the season goes on I would be interested in more content about how Paige is be used and why. It seems like she has an ever evolving role and Jose hasn’t brought out the best of her.

@JoJo200485 She has none. The offense is geared to make Arike/Jess comfortable & not their star player. Paige has to adapt every damn possession, rotation. She looks uncomfortable and is overthinking things. It just getting worse too as Jose seems to be fine w/ it being Arike & Jess’s team.

Jose hasn’t created any identity w/ this offense. Most of the game runs through Jess, Arike. Azzi wasn’t involved until the 2nd half and Paige is literally used as a utility player on this team. She’s isn’t really a pg, a sg or a 3. He’s made her uncomfortable in the offense.

@pbuckets_45 Yep Paige just brings it up & either gives it to Arike/Jess and then rarely gets the ball again. She has to almost force shots to get any off in this Jose’s offense with Arike and Jess as #1/#2. He’s utilizing his 2 best players just horribly.

@Kailamom11 Atp it feels like he’s just using Paige to bring the ball up and pass it and Azzi to defend the fastest guard on the other end. I don’t see any concrete actions being set up for them offensively…

the slander is coming from the fact that she been doing the same shit for the past at least 3 games where she would look an open shooter dead in the eye and then just ignore em and smoke and layup or make the wrong pass

Also I don't fully agree with some of the Jess slander on my tl rn. She missed a few reads early on but frankly I'm not sure why she didn't shoot more in the second half, especially when it was pretty clear, no one else outside of Arike, was gonna do jackshit.

@sugartalkingtay This is somewhat on Paige but Jose has made her obsolete on offense. Offense runs through Jess and Arike most of the game. P has to create all her shots, rarely is anything run for her.

@Kylespani_0 Yes by stat padding and flopping around. And the Wings beat the Aces by 30 and your team had a hard time beating an expansion team missing four starters.

@GhislainClement @sapsrose I understand completely what Paige brings and where did I say I want her to be a heliocentric player. Just not okay with her (or Azzi) getting less shots than Arike on a regular basis. It has gotten a little better but there’s still too much deferring to a 30% fg guard.

@Kailamom11 @sapsrose Basketball isn't just about shots taken… You only need to look at the playmaking, the touch/possession, the usage, and watch the games without her to realize what she brings to the table. If you want Paige to become a heliocentric player, you've picked the wrong one…

@Kailamom11 @sapsrose Yes, but shot volume depends on physical condition… She clearly wasn't fit enough to play a 35-minute game at 30% capacity after coming back from a sprain… It's not a big deal, the game was won by 20 points and she played a key role in creating the gap.

@dembozCOYG23 Totally agree that Sug is completely different. I was just laughing because Zaza said what she said and has been a complete disaster. Zaza should have adjusted already in year two.

@Kailamom11 Yeah but unlike Zaza who is coming from a system where she was one of the main scorers Sug has played on teams like this before and has never been the first option in three games her highest FGA was 13 and she had 5.7 assists with 2.0 turnovers
