Cold Reality in Iceland: 30.5% Excess Deaths in 2022 — Illegal Use of mRNA Vaccines and Systemic Denial In 2020, 29 deaths were recorded in Iceland due to COVID-19, mostly among elderly individuals beyond average life expectancy with multiple underlying health conditions. These deaths were registered without autopsies or clarification on whether the individuals died with or from COVID-19. This lack of transparency casts doubt on the classification and highlights the need for an independent investigation into the true causes of excess mortality. Excess Deaths in Iceland 2022: A 6-Sigma Event In 2022, 519 excess deaths were registered — a 30.5% increase over expected deaths according to Statistics Iceland. Eurostat estimated excess deaths in Iceland at 19% for the same year, compared to the EU average of 11.7%. Using Iceland’s pre-COVID baseline (0%) and a standard deviation (σ) of 5%, the 30.5% increase represents a 6.1σ deviation from baseline — an extremely rare event with less than a 0.0000002% probability of occurring, comparable to 2 in a billion. Even the 19% Eurostat figure represents a 3.8σ deviation. 90% of excess deaths were among individuals aged 70+, reflecting a 38.8% relative increase in that age group. Foreign nationals (23.7% of the total population in 2022) and foreign labor (20.6% of the workforce) are not demographically classified as Icelanders. This affects the statistical modeling used by Statistics Iceland and more accurately reflects the impact on Icelandic citizens residing in the country — excluding temporary foreign workers. These workers are generally younger and healthier individuals seeking employment, with an average age of around 30. As noted, 90% of excess deaths were among those aged 70+, a demographic rarely found among these foreign workers. This underlines the importance of precise, disaggregated cause-of-death analysis. A review of excess deaths across 2020–2023 (14.6%, 16.1%, 30.5%, 28.0%) shows peaks in 2022–2023. The lack of autopsies and transparency makes it difficult to determine the actual causes. For comparison, 29 deaths were recorded due to COVID-19 in 2020, without confirmation of whether individuals died with or from the virus. Illegal Use of mRNA Vaccines Vaccinations with mRNA vaccines (e.g., Pfizer) began in Iceland on December 29, 2020. These were produced using the so-called Process 2 method (E. coli-based manufacturing) without emergency authorization from the FDA, EMA, or Icelandic Medicines Agency. This is illegal under Icelandic laws No. 93/1994 on Medicinal Products and No. 74/1997 on Patient Rights. Studies show billions of DNA fragments (including SV40 promoter sequences) and high levels of endotoxins above regulatory limits, which may cause genetic alterations and health damage. This also violates the Nuremberg Code (1945) and the Helsinki Declaration (2013) on ethics in medical research and informed consent. Side Effects and Lack of Transparency No deaths were recorded due to myocarditis (I40) or pericarditis (I30) between 2020–2023, despite these being known vaccine side effects. Meanwhile, heart attacks (I21) increased by 20.22%. European data shows that 86% of suspected adverse events in infants are linked to C-19 vaccines. Research by Gans et al. (2024) also suggests that vaccination fails to provide long-lasting immunity in children and may increase the risk of other long-term health issues. According to Statistics Iceland, infant mortality increased by 6.5% and perinatal mortality by 54.5% from 2020 to 2021. This increase, along with the lack of transparency from the Directorate of Health regarding vaccination of pregnant women, aligns with international concerns about serious mRNA vaccine side effects in infants, as reflected in VAERS data (DailyClout, 2023), and calls for an independent investigation. It is notable that no Y59 classifications (ICD-10 code for vaccine-related deaths) were recorded despite hundreds of excess deaths. Autopsies also declined during the pandemic period, particularly among those aged 65+, further obscuring the ability to identify actual causes of death. Call for Independent Investigation and Suspension of mRNA Vaccines In January 2024, the Directorate of Health denied access to anonymized data on deaths and adverse reactions, which could have been used to evaluate the health impact of vaccinations in Iceland. This violates the Information Act No. 140/2012. North Group sent a formal request to Icelandic authorities in 2024 regarding the illegal use of Process 2 and its potential link to excess mortality — no response was received.
