U.S. Embassy Uganda's newly arrived Deputy Chief of Mission, Mikael (Mika) Cleverley, opened a weeklong Public Health Emergency Management training to strengthen the outbreak response skills of Ugandan public health experts. Two Ugandan epidemiologists, recently trained at 🇺🇸 @CDCGlobal, are facilitating the program. 🇺🇸 support has helped 🇺🇬 respond to 10+ outbreaks, including the recent Ebola outbreak. The U.S. government partners with Ugandans to advance global health security, saving lives in Uganda and making both America and the world safer.
