Weird route IS an allegory to SA, it is about breaking a teenager. It is also about torturing kris and fueling thier violent tendencies. It is ALSO about erasing queerness from queer characters and putting them in traditional positions. Weird route MAKES you uncomfortable.

It’s kind of funny because it’s almost the exact opposite perception of I have of Higurashi’s question and answer arcs, because I prefer the answer arcs of Higurashi more to the question arcs.

Overall my rankings are probably antithetical to most since on average I prefer the Question arcs over the Answer arcs. Because while the Answer Arcs have a lot of good stuff, they’re way more of a mixed bag in content and delivery.

@PJiggles_ Honestly the scene right before the Asriel fight feels quite rushed in retrospect, and I feel like it’s more fanservicy when it could’ve explored certain characters in more depth. Asgore especially gets kind of shafted here since his entire conflict is kind of dampened.

@spookydoodyt I kind of get the point but I do think every episode should be furthering something. The main things are either the character, plot, or lore, and as long as one of those (or something else that’s integral) is being furthered, I think it’s fine.

I hate calling it “filler” serialized shows need standalone episodes that don’t further the plot. Every one of your favorite serialized shows have several episodes in which the plot isn’t furthered, but characters are explored and we just exist in the show’s world.

@TemmieOrSmth99 I think some people have been looking too much at the design of the second hero. I think it’s intentionally generic as to not give much away, since the second girl has become a sort of mystery.
