People keep asking my avg cost basis on $TSLA. It's ~$114 (~$357B market cap equivalent). A decade or two from now, whether my cost basis was $4.20, $69, $114 or $420.69... I won't care.

This worked well for you all last time, so let's do it again! If you'd like someone to use your Tesla referral code, comment below on this post with your link. If you're planning to buy a new Tesla, consider using a referral link from a smaller creator. Let's sell some Teslas!

Lots of work, but the team’s aiming to get to feature complete for unsupervised FSD with the v13 series!
Tesla AI@Tesla_AI

As October comes to a close, here's an update on the releases What we completed: - End-to-end on highway has shipped to ~50k customers with v12.5.6.1 - Cybertruck build that improves responsiveness - Successful We, Robot event with 50 autonomous Teslas safely transporting over 2,000 passengers What's coming next: - Full rollout of end-to-end highway driving to all AI4 users, targeted for early next week, including enhancements in stop smoothness, less annoying bad weather notifications, and other safety improvements - Improved v12.5.x models for AI3 city driving - Actually Smart Summon release to Europe, China and other regions of the world - v13 is a package of following major technology upgrades: - 36 Hz, full-resolution AI4 video inputs - Native AI4 inputs and neural network architectures - 3x model size scaling - 3x model context length scaling - 4.2x data scaling - 5x training compute scaling (enabled by the Cortex training cluster) - Much improved reward predictions for collision avoidance, following traffic controls, navigation, etc. - Efficient representation of maps and navigation inputs - Audio inputs for better handling of emergency vehicles - Redesigned controller for smoother, more accurate tracking - Integrated unpark, reverse, and park capabilities - Support for destination options including pulling over, parking in a spot, driveway, or garage - Improved camera cleaning and handling of camera occlusions We have integrated several of these improvements and are already seeing a 4x increase in miles between necessary interventions compared to v12.5.4. This lays the foundation for the v13 series, and we are targeting to ship v13.0 to internal customers by the end of this week. Most of the remaining items are independently validated and will be integrated over November in a series of point releases. We are targeting a wide release with v13.3 with most of the above improvements for AI4 vehicles around Thanksgiving!

Please reply in comments if you’re having difficulty voting your Tesla shares
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

One thing that has become clear to me in recent weeks is that some brokerages and institutions holding shares, especially those outside the U.S., make it way too difficult for individual stockholders to vote their shares. In some cases, people can't even vote at all. I've been trying to help countless people through direct messages (others like @TeslaBoomerMama have too), but the number of obstacles some people face just to vote is crazy, and I can only help to an extent. Fortunately, voting is relatively easy with most U.S. brokerages. Historically, retail shareholder participation in these annual shareholder meetings is quite low, but I get the sense that won't be the case this time. In all my years as a Tesla shareholder, I've never seen the retail base this involved. For the record: On May 2nd, I voted FOR the reinstatement of @elonmusk's 2018 CEO performance award package.

Back from my ~2 hour experience with FSD v12.3. Initial high level observations: Pros: - Vastly improved safety vs v12.2 - previous version had issues in my area with unprotected lefts. v12.3 was very safe and confident once it found a safe gap. HUGE improvement. I would say on par, if not better, than v11. Didn't feel unsafe once. - Significantly smoother than v11 in essentially all situations. Turns, stop and go, lane merges, etc. - Navigating through parking lots is world's apart from v11 - it's actually usable the second you pull out of a parking spot. Very good sign for Actually Smart Summon (ASS). - Car is much better at communicating intent to drivers, passengers, and other cars on the road by using subtle movements (creeping primarily) to show what it wants to do. Hard to explain how big of a difference this makes on the road until you experience it. - Navigating around pedestrians on roadways is extraordinarily better than v11. - Lane selection is significantly improved over v11. - Navigating thru speed bumps and dips on the road are a breeze - v11 would sometimes try to launch you into outer space in these situations. Cons: - Navigating through parking lots still requires work - can get lost trying to navigate out of a lot to the main road. - Can get into an awkward give and take with a pedestrian if pedestrian is hesitating to enter road. It's like an infinite game of "you first". I wish car would stop, flash lights, and let pedestrians go in these situations (where safe). - Still has certain situations on the road where it's slightly hesitant - not safety critical, but it creates an awkward situation between you and other drivers on the road. Videos coming all thru this week in many different areas to show this in detail. Overall: Massive improvement over v11, but still not perfect. However, it's becoming much clearer that perfection is achievable with this hardware and software stack, especially given its excellent performance in "blind" turns. Rate of improvement will be very interesting to track in 2024, and if thus far is any indication, this year might be THE year as long as the rate of improvement continues to accelerate.
