little correction, *perfectly parallel to it, besides if I’m correct it would explain why some characters such as Xingqiu have never seen a real moon eclipse before (just heard of it), because Teyvat is never positioned in a straight line directly between the Sun and the Moon!

is it possible it might represent the Frost moon, Teyvat and the Sun instead? I did some research some time ago related to why the moon in Teyvat always seems to appear as a full moon without its phases, and it should be because the sun is always almost parallel to it

@AlmightyJibs that’s because Mavuika refused to let the Steambird spread news about the war against the Abyss while they were still dealing with it (to avoid causing panic I guess) and since it ended in 5.3 Charlotte was able to enter Natlan aftwerwards only during an event in version 5.5!

@AlmightyJibs I don’t think they would be so careless to contradict each other like this though, there’s plenty of decorations in Teyvat that present the form of a crescent moon too and with the attention they brought to the theme of the moon itself it would weird if they didn’t think of that
