His name was R Akash Delison.
He was 26 years old. An engineering graduate from Sivaganga district in Tamil Nadu.
On March 6 this year 10 police officers in plain clothes came to his home and took him away.
He was accused of attacking two men. A case that needed investigation and a courtroom.
Instead he gave a dying declaration to a magistrate.
In it he described how police blindfolded him, placed his legs on stones, covered them with a wet sack, and beat them repeatedly with an iron rod.
Police said he fell from a bridge while trying to escape.
He died on March 8. 48 hours after arrest.
He never saw a courtroom.
Yesterday India celebrated a custodial death conviction.
Akash Delison’s family is still waiting for one.
There are hundreds of families still waiting.

Officially dead in 1945, Subhas Chandra Bose live on for decades thereafter. Was given shelter by the Russians and later returned to India in the guise of a holy man. Complications related to the transfer of power, his actions during the world war and post-war activities forbade him from appearing in public. Claimed to have played advisory role in 1965 and 1971 wars. Died in Ayodhya in 1985.

My mama is at a very senior position at Oracle, Bengaluru, and what he told me today honestly broke my heart, he said the situation is really bad, people he personally knows, hardworking, talented, 15+ years in the company, just terminated like that, and it’s not stopping, today it’s Oracle, tomorrow it’ll be some other company (he even named a few), all this because of increasing AI takeover, and the worst part is they can’t even do anything about it, his WhatsApp and mail are now filled with job requests, people asking for help, referrals, anything… share price is up, sure, but at what cost ? Gave their life to one company, replaced in weeks.

The ASI began excavations at Kumarikkalpalayam at, Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, in February 2026. Located about 15 km north of Uthukuli Taluk, the site lies within agricultural field and represents an extensive Iron Age and Early Historic habitation, comprising a mound and an adjacent megalithic burial complex.
Excavations at the habitation mound revealed a potsherd bearing a short-inscription. This fragment, part of a storage jar made of Black-and-Red ware, carries five Tamil-Brahmi characters that can be read as “Irumpurai.” Paleographically, the letters date to the late 1st cen. BCE-early 1st cen. CE. (1/2)
